JAAHA Online SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:
Frequently Asked Questions
about Individual (Non-Member) Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

You will create your own username and password when you activate your subscription. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

Click here to have a new password emailed to you.

  3. Why should I get an Individual (Non-Member) subscription?

Individual (Non-Member) Subscribers have access to:
Tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full-text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, and the advantage of having password access to JAAHA online from any computer connected to the Internet.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

If your institution has an electronic version of the journal, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full-text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  5. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

JAAHA is now published only in an online format.

  6. Who is eligible for an Individual (Non-Member) and a Member Subscription?

Individual (Non-Member) subscriptions are available to individuals. AAHA Members are eligible for Member Subscriptions to JAAHA, providing them with an electronic version of the journal. Members and Non-Members also may have access to JAAHA online through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions; full-text access from off of the institution's network (e.g., access from your computer at home) may not be available.

  7. How can I access JAAHA online if I am not an AAHA member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

You may wish to apply for AAHA membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) subscription. Without a subscription, you have access to tables of contents, abstracts, and full-text searching (without full-text viewing), without having to register and at no cost. You may also elect to pay per article (for full access to a single article) or pay per view (for access to the entire JAAHA online site for a limited period).

  8. How do I become a member of AAHA?

Information about AAHA membership and application forms are available from AAHA.
